Actually its a little easy to pick on the Americans here because they are more outspoken. It would be an equally rewarding experience if somebody could go out on the streets in India or Mexico asking the same question.
anonymous........I have little doubt that the results in India will be far, far, faaaaar more hillarious.
There isn't an evolution vs. creation debate in India......because most people haven't even heard of the word "evolution".......
But America stands alone amongst "fully developed" countries with almost complete literacy, and relatively high standards of living, education and income, in producing some incredibly talented and brilliant individuals, while also retaining some of the highest levels of ignorance and blind belief.
And anyway.......I wasn't picking on anyone. I was too busy laughing.
Sunil, somehow I feel the title is not appropriate. "R" does not make one dumb. It is how we percieve/grasp/embrace things that makes us dumb. Personally I feel that Scientists can never be completely Atheists, because they always have to struggle with the acceptance of non-superficial. ;)

An instance of why the "R" word is dangerous in discussion is here(look at the comments): http://www.shaarique.com/worlds-oldest-university/
anil......I looked through that discussion, and it was sad to read so many hostile views. I think the title of this post is appropriate....
Anyway, this was just a lighter post....so lighten up, and see the humor here.
And as far as struggling with the acceptance of non-superficial......a good scientist will try to understand how it works, and not leave it to "god". Anyway, I don't think athiesm came in to this post at all :-)

Ok....i stand corrected. Along with Balayya, this is the funniest thing I've seen in recent times.
Balayya rules! :-)
go....chamba!! Well most americans should be squirming in shame for what their countrymen are doing..
heh.....vishnu....looks like a lot of them are proud to be against Chamba :-))
Hmm.. only american culture can produce both mind-bogglingly brilliant people and those who wear their stupidity on their sleeve and are proud of it.
Go Chumba! Or Chamba! I'm pro ape!
I'm starting the Chamba fan club.
